Terms of Service
Overview
These terms govern the web design and development services provided by Bytecrafts ("we", "us", "our") to you ("client"). By engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms. We keep it plain — no surprises.
Services
We provide web design, development, and related services as outlined in the project quote or agreement. The scope of each project is defined through our questionnaire and confirmed before work begins. Any work outside that scope will be quoted separately.
Payment
Pricing is outlined on our Services page and confirmed in writing before a project starts. We require a deposit (typically 50%) before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. Final files and full site access are handed over only once payment is complete.
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
Revisions
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds as discussed during scoping. Revisions are changes to existing work — not new features or significant scope changes. Additional revisions or scope changes will be quoted as add-ons.
Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate project information through the questionnaire
- Supply any content (text, images, logos) you own or have rights to use
- Respond to review requests within a reasonable timeframe to keep the project on schedule
- Not use our work for anything unlawful
Delays caused by late content or feedback are not our responsibility and may push the delivery timeline.
Intellectual property
Upon receipt of full payment, you own the final deliverable — the complete website and all its custom code and design created specifically for your project.
Content you provide (text, images, logos) remains yours. Any stock assets, third-party libraries, or open-source tools incorporated into your project are subject to their respective licenses.
We retain the right to display the completed project in our portfolio and promotional materials unless you request otherwise in writing before project completion.
Cancellations & refunds
If you cancel a project after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If we cancel (rare, but possible if we can't continue), we'll refund any payment beyond work already completed.
Limitation of liability
We deliver work in good faith and with care. However, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost revenue or business opportunities — arising from use of our work. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the project.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued engagement after an update means you accept the revised terms.
